The forty-seventh meeting of the Open-ended Working Group of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (OEWG47) opened on Monday, 7 July 2025 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok. 

Ms. Shontelle Wellington, National Ozone Officer of the Ministry of Environment and National Beautification, Barbados will jointly Chair the meeting along with Ms. Annie Gabriel of Australia.

The OEWG47 continues until Friday, 11 July, during which time Parties to the Montreal Protocol will discuss issues affecting the ozone layer and ensure its continued protection and recovery in preparation for the 37th Meeting of the Parties to be held in Nairobi from 3-7 November 2025.
